Whereas the encouragement of the quality of organic wines is important and that is of great interest to reward them in order to promote its image and contribute to a successful marketing thereof, the Delegation of Cordova, the City of Montilla and Ecovalia, organized XVII International Organic Wine Competition; EcoRacimo 2016, with which it was intended, in addition to value the quality and prestige of organic products, maintain and activate the production of wines from grapes from organic agriculture, investing in the development of this sector and serving as support for promotion and recognition by the consumer.
The celebration of this contest, which took place at the Castle Grand Captain of Montilla – Cordoba on April 23, 2016, featured a cast of internationally renowned tasters and extensive career, supporting its recognition.
In Celler Batea we are very proud to announce that this year 2016, Naturalis Mer Roure was awarded with a Gold medal and Naturalis Mer Crianza won a Silver Medal.
Naturalis Mer represents our commitment to red and white Garnacha grapes organically cultivated and vinified in Terra Alta. We have accepted the challenge of making this wine in the least intrusive way possible and all within the framework of those stringent regulations governing the production of organic wines.

Naturalis Mer Organic Oak Red Wine: With its fresh red fruity fleshiness the red Garnacha grape dominates in this wine. It is, however, complemented with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. After 3 months in French oak casks it is usually ready for bottling. It has a fruity profile with notes of fine wood – this makes it ideal for either drinking on its own or accompanying any meal.
